Treatments
What to Expect
Your first appointment will last approximately 90 minutes. At the beginning, a full medical history will be taken and you will be asked to sign a consent form agreeing to the treatment. All information will be kept confidentially.

Having removed your shoes and socks you will then be made comfortable on a reclining chair, ready for your treatment. The treatment itself lasts 60 minutes and includes a relaxing foot massage at the end. During the treatment pressure is applied to the feet and lower leg using thumbs, fingers or knuckles. Some areas of the feet may feel tender when pressed, but this will pass. Overall, the experience should feel relaxing.

Subsequent treatments last 60 minutes.
Aftercare Advice
After a treatment most people feel very relaxed and may experience an improved sense of wellbeing. They may also experience a range of emotions over the following 24/48 hours or feel very tired or a little depressed. These reactions are quite normal and are believed by Reflexologists to be the result of the body starting to rid itself of built up toxins. Occasionally, people report a mild headache or feeling the need to go to the toilet more often following on from their treatment. These normal reactions should pass within 24/48 hours and are considered by Reflexologists to be part of the healing process.

To benefit from a treatment you will be advised to follow these simple guidelines:
-
Increase your fluid intake by drinking plenty of water
-
Take plenty of rest
-
Avoid stimulants such as tea, coffee, alcohol, and smoking
